LAY BERO was founded by David and Jayla of Central Florida. They have three daughters — all of whom played volleyball in middle school, high school, and college. Match after match, the girls came home with bruised hips. Every girl on every team they played had the same story: deep-tissue soreness, ugly bruises, padded shorts that bulked under their uniforms — and they refused to wear them.
The protective gear on the market had been built for men's bodies and nothing seemed to work for the teen/woman body. It bulked. It shifted. It showed. The girls stopped wearing it by mid-season because looking the part felt more important than playing protected.
David and Jayla set out to fix it. They wanted protection that fit like underwear and disappeared under any uniform. Three millimeters of real D30 padding — the same material used in elite competitive team sports — cut into a women-specific brief. No bulk. No shifting. No visibility.
This is the version they wished their daughters had had years ago. It's the version they built for every girl who dives for the ball and pays for it the next morning.
